Jaysec provides services relative to information that may consist of "Protected Health Information" and/or "Electronic Protected Health Information", that is subject to protection under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1966 (hereinafter "HIPAA"), Public Law 104-191.
Jaysec Technologies, LLC. as a health care technology provider, is required to use or disclose Protected Health Information and/or Electronic Protected Health Information in compliance with the Privacy and/or Security Rules of HIPAA and applicable state laws; and Jaysec Technologies, LLC. is required to structure its business relationship in accordance with the Privacy and/or Security Rules; and satisfies the standards and requirements of HIPAA and the Privacy and/or Security Rules by providing Jaysec with "satisfactory assurances" that Business Associate will deal with Protected Health Information and/or Electronic Protected Health Information that it receives, creates and/or maintains from or on behalf of Jaysec in compliance with Jaysec's responsibilities under HIPAA.
